610 at 59 Track Reply to this Post

When we moved to Houston there was a track right at corner of the freeway. Never rode it but friend did. Anyone remember? Then you probably remember Houston Wrestling where mattress Mac advertised between matches

I remember both...Cimarron Park and Paul Bosche's Houston Wrestling with Wahoo McDaniel and Johnny Valentine trying to kill each other. Supposedly!

Never knew of it as Cimarron Park. We referred to it as the "610 track".

that was in 1974, It was built as a combination Short track and a Speedway track.. We brought in about 12 speedway riders from SoCal to help us get speedway started here. Most of the Cali boys stayed at my house for 4 weeks then they went back after it was decided it wasn't going to work.. I went with them and raced out there for 3 seasons.. Now you know.
