What Happened to the Local Pros? Reply to this Post

What happened to the local pros of the 2000's? Has anyone seen these guys?

Ronny Jackson, Rob Lock, Jason Gaddis, Thomas Bordelon, Kyle Phoenix, Jimbo?

Is Kenny Lau still taking photos?

I seen Ronnie, his little brother, and their dad at 3 Palms about a year ago or less.

Last time I seen Rob Lock, he was prepping Cowboy Badlands here in Beaumont before they shut down a few years ago.

Did Thomas get into MMA?

Gaddis no idea.

Kyle, I thought I seen him at a track a few years ago, but too much head trauma to recall for sure.

Jimbo........

Kenny is still snapping the shuter.

Actually, the last time I think I seen Gaddis, may have been Oakhill, or Lake Whitney; or both. It was several years ago.

I think I saw Kyle Phoenix's dad at 3 palms Sunday. Older guy on a nice bike with Phoenix graphics on it, had to be him.

No clue about Bordelon. Dirtbike rider, turned rapper, turned MMA. He may have reinvented himself as a hipster by now...

I was at a night race at 3 palms a year ago and saw Ronny Jackson's brother racing? Younger kid wearing Ronny's gear, cant remember his name.

Cory and Tyler Glenn, John Tomlin, Kyle Wood, Chris Marshal, Mike Killborn, Frank Castillo (passed(Also last name?), and Uncle Scotty (passed) were the guys I found photo/video of. I haven't seen any of the old locals since Al left for Colorado in 2009.

Hello Everyone!

It has been a while. I pray everyone is well.

Since retiring from racing in 2009, I went back to school and finished my bachelors degree. Then I went to Virginia and received my Masters, and recently graduated from Law School at Texas Southern. I work for a firm downtown now and live in Friendswood with my wife of 3 years and soon to be new born baby girl (Cambridge).

I know it has been a while, and believe me I cannot tell you guys how often I miss the racing scene. I know that I chased some pretty outlandish dreams back in the day and even though none of them came true, I could not be happier with how life turned out.

I see some of the other guys from time to time and they seem to be doing well. I see Travis Elliott regularly, and he is doing great.

I wish everyone the best!

Thomas Bordelon

Howdy Thomas, glad to see you are doing well. I think the last time I spoke to you was at Highlands night track many years ago.

Like most of us, you chased a lot of dreams, but you were young and that's just how it went. Twenty years from now you will regret more things you didn't do, than things you did do.

If you're bored this weekend, come out to Freedoms D20 race and say hello. If you can sneak up on me and get me to tap out sleep you can make a few laps on my bike. laughing
