Race @ Murphy's Mx 11-11 Reply to this Post

There is a race at Murphy's Mx this Sunday. It's a one time local race; no points, just fun. If you have never been, it's worth the drive. It is a fun, fun track, with a dual lane option section. Although I really like the day track, I mostly ride the night track on practice day. That is also a fun, flowy, and fast track. I think the low will be about 45, and the high about 57. Cool and dry, just right for racing or riding. It would be really great to have large gates of Vet riders.

Re: Race @ Murphy's Mx 11-11 Reply to this Post

Well, by the time our grandsons Birthday party was over and I would have loaded up, it would have been 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning before I would have rolled into the track. Then back to Bastrop to the motel for a few hours of tossing and turning, then back to the track. So, with all this whining said, I'm not going to make it.

The Birthday party was held at an indoor soccer feild with an artificial turf. We had a brutal game of kickball, soccer, and foorball. I now know why football players used to complain about articial turf. It is great traction, but no cushion or giving when your digits dig in for a diving catch. I have carpet burns on both knees and elbows, and one stiff finger. The kids had a blast, as did the big kids too.
