Really going to miss you guys. You did so much for people in general charity ect. Not to mention being the biggest motocross supporters I've ever known. Good luck to those who have to look else where for employment. This is not a good sign for the industry or this cold mean city, hard to imagine but it just got colder and meaner.
Maybe its time to go back home for good.

Maybe pulling the trigger a little early with the naked bike movement in Japan, Harley is on its way out with this new generation.

That sucks. I bought a couple bikes from them back when they were on Bingle.

Seems like these single line Honda dealers are struggling. First Bob Lundsford, now HoH. Honda killed the 2 stroke and their line of affordable and low maintenance 4 stroke besides the CRF230.

I'd kill for a new XR400.

Re: Say it aint so Honda of Houston Reply to this Post

I am really going miss Honda of Houston, not so much the place as much as the people.

First and foremost, the service department and Shaun Martin. Shaun is a consummate mechanic. Watching him work on a motorcycle inspires confidence. Everything seems so easy when Shaun is involved, whether pressing off a gear for a clutch basket or a complete crank up rebuild, Shaun is meticulous and so are his team. Wherever Shaun goes, I will follow.

The parts department is no different. If I needed something, I would call Greg or Mark and ask them to find it for me. Whether it was a piston for a vintage bike, clutch plates from Hinson, or something unusual like Castrol A747 two stroke oil. They would track it down and get if for me...fast, I never had to worry if I ordered the wrong thing or about shipping. They took care of everything. In my opinion ordering online is too much work. Plus ordering at a dealer is faster. Get to know one of the great parts guys in town, put your credit card on file, and call them whenever you need a part. Let them handle the rest.

And of course we know that Dave Martin is a motocrosser. And we can look back of the glory years of the Honda of Houston race team and shop and thank them for all they did for the sport. I never would have had a chance to race Mammoth Mountain if it wasn't for Shaun, Naveen and the race team.

Thanks Honda of Houston, for 12 years (I bought my first Honda from them in 2006) of incredible service to myself and the motocross community.

Very sad indeed, there's just no money to be made in this industry.bikes have very little markup and especially after harvey nobody is buying bikes..most people I know are rebuilding their homes and spending money on necessary goods not fun stuff.believe me I'm one of them .sad but true

I could put one or two of those experienced techs to work up in here in Conroe.
