So I'm laid up for ???? weeks with an Aircast. What's even worse I dunno how/when I tore the tendon. I do know it wasn't a motorcycle. So what's better than watching British and Canadian MX on MAVTV. I did hear something that struck me strange. Today the TV commentator said something about a holeshot device on the front AND rear on one bike!?? Hummmmmm....never heard of that and then I wondered how it would work. We know what the front device does; it preloads the front forks in a lower position. But what would a rear device do? The rear end already sinks when the rider accelerates hard. I wonder if it keeps the rear from sinking? Anybody know??
So, basically these devices turn a long travel suspension bike, into a bike with similar suspension as a vintage (pre-1974) bike, to make it faster off the line.....cool! I always felt like my vintage bike was faster off the line!
