Although that system sounds reliable and efficient in theory, it WILL fail if designed by Chrysler.

Mike I think you have had one too many Ford hoods slam on your head.

Re: New Technology from Chrysler Reply to this Post

I have been told that after Chrysler's failure at trying to reproduce bi-lateral torque inversion by using the flux capacitor that the captured both Chinese and German scientists and forced them to work on this project in secret underground testing labs that are rumored to actually be the old super collider facility near Dallas. So there is hope that it will work.

I once had to replace a girdle spring... No easy task, that one.

The only problem I have ever had with a Chrysler is the muffler bearings seem to fail all the time.

Re: New Technology from Chrysler Reply to this Post

I don't see how Chrysler can call that new technology. AMC had those in the Gremlin. That's why they were so fast off the line.

The trick is to loosen the power band BEFORE the girdle strap gets tight. If you wait until it feels tight, it's already too late. Then you gotta back it all the way out and then replace the fetzer valve and ball bearings. C'mon guys. Y'all know this stuff.

Re: New Technology from Chrysler Reply to this Post

Tracy,

Were you running the 12" or the 14" power band?

Re: New Technology from Chrysler Reply to this Post

We ran the 14", but again - that was mainly for the starts. It took a little off the top end, but it was a lot more tractable power. biggrin

There's just no replacement for "grunt" when the game is on the line.
